Speech by Nur Syahmin Alya bt Masri

Good morning to the Principal, Pn. Hjh. Hamidah bt. Saman, Senior Assistants, teachers and friends.
I’m Nur Syahmin Alya from 5 Gemilang and I’m the Head Prefect of SMK Ampang Pecah Bestari for this year.
I would like to thank the English Panel for giving me the opportunity to speak today, for the first EFA programme this year.
As a student and as one of you, I wish we can work hard together for the sake of our school and our future.
For prefects, we are a team. I hope we can work together as a team because what’s going to work is teamwork. I hope we can be more systematic and be everyone’s role model as what En. Suhaimi once said; prefects are like mirrors. Besides that, we can show that we actually do help the teachers.
As for all of you and myself, I wish that we can excel not only in ICT but in studies, discipline and good manners.
I really wish that we don’t think about truancy.
When we come to school, we should be neatly dressed from top to bottom. White shoes and combed hair show that we are disciplined students.
To usher the visitors who come to our school, we can always greet them with ‘good morning’ and ‘assalamualaikum’ like our principal had told us.
In addition, we should keep ourselves and our environment clean, especially the toilet. Use it properly. I hope no one will litter in the school compound. And because we love the earth, we should also keep the plants alive.
In conclusion, let our discipline be “cemerlang”, we will be “gemilang” and our school, SMK Ampang Pecah Bestari “ terbilang”.
Thank you.
